A gripping adventure for the whole family, Against the Wild (SRP $24.98) begins with siblings Zach (Adams) and Hannah (Pitt) traveling by seaplane with Chinook, their Alaskan Malamute, to visit their father (Ted Whittall of “Beauty & The Beast”) for the weekend. When their plane encounters engine trouble, the pilot is forced to make an emergency landing in the woods in the middle of nowhere. As they travel on foot to seek help, Zach, Hannah and their loyal companion come face-to-face with the challenges of the wilds – from wolves and grizzly bears to forest fires. Using all the wilderness skills they know – and with some help from Chinook, the siblings must work together to overcome each obstacle and conquer the ultimate goal – returning home again.
An exciting, fast-paced adventure with beautiful cinematography and a stirring musical score performed by a live 65-piece orchestra in Prague, Against the Wild will keep the whole family on the edge of their seat from start to finish.

DVD Special Features: Outtakes and the Music of Against the Wild.

Against the Wild has been approved for all ages by the Dove Foundation, which awarded the film with 5/5 Doves, and recommends it as “a terrific film for the entire family!.”

This was a fun family adventure for our family. My little monkey LOVED this movie and now pretends that our dogs are “Chinook”. Our family loves to be outdoors, go camping, and have fun family adventures, so this movie was perfect for us. There were scenes in the movie that we talked about and used it as an educational talk in case we were ever in the same situation. Explaining why you would do something or not do something that would be dangerous. We definitely give this movie two thumbs up for fun family entertainment and adventure.

Yes, we love to go on hiking adventures. We have lots of small mountains and trails near us within driving distance and it’s a great way to spend time together and get some exercise!
