Review for Fave4 Hair Products

I have been wanting to try Fave4 products for a while now, so I was super excited when my shipment came!

I got Fave4 Beyond Big shampoo, Let’s Go Light conditioner and Texture Takeover hairspray. All the products have great reviews, but I was really excited to get Texture Takeover! I loved the thickness of the shampoo, I didn’t need as much as I usually use to get a nice lather going. Plus my hair felt soft after I rinsed and a lot of times it doesn’t feel like that until after I use the conditioner. The conditioner made my hair feel even better without weighing my hair down or making it feel oily, even the next day my hair wasn’t oily like it usually is. My hair was nice and shiny after I dried it.

I didn’t want to use any other products but Fave4, so I sprayed some of the Texture Takeover before I put my hot rollers in.

Love the way my hair turned out! I sprayed more Texture Takeover to lock in the curl and to help give me a little more oomph.

I can’t say enough about this hairspray! It’s amazing!!

It comes out a little more powerful than most and that helps add the oomph. Plus I didn’t find the smell to be overpowering. No coughing here!

Even after a day full of chasing kids, taking them to karate, and it raining most of the day most of the curl held.

This is me at the end of the day!

I will definitely be ordering Fave4 again. I can’t wait to try some of their other products too. I am now a Fave4 Fanatic! You can order them from www.fave4.com, and make sure to sign up to be on their email list to get exclusive promos, hair tutorials and fun stuff from fave4 Style Experts.

The Wonderful Benefits of Honey #BenefitsOfHoney

When I think of honey, my mind travels directly to the thick treat being put in my tea. Never fully grasping the concept of this versatile substance, I had the wonderful opportunity of attending an event put on by the National Honey Board in Austin, Texas. This quickly opened my eyes to the many diverse ways honey can be incorporated into everyday life.

The ambiance of the location, mixed with the knowledge of those who demonstrated and informed us of the usage of the sweet concoction, made for a most pleasant and enjoyable experience.

At first arrival, I got the opportunity to meet with the Honey Bear.  This gave me a wonderful sense of welcome and warmth.

The Honey Bear and me!

Making my way over to the bar, I got the chance to try the yummy array of cocktails and honey cider offered.  Did I mention how yummy they were?   Beverage Recipe for the Backyard NOLA Swingers

So what are a few Benefits of honey?

Honey makes food taste great.
There are so many ways honey can be incorporated into recipes.  So many chemicals are added to food these days that it’s hard to know exactly what something consists of. But honey has just one ingredient – and that’s HONEY! It’s produced by the bees from the nectar of plants and flowers and goes basically from the hive to the bottle. Want to sweeten some oatmeal? Add a bit of honey. How about that wonderful square of dark chocolate you crave? Add a dollop of buckwheat honey to it and you’ve got a delectable dessert. One of my favorite tries was goat cheese on a piece of bread with some alfalfa flavored honey. And did you know that there are over 300 varieties of honey? Using it as an added ingredient in breakfast, lunch, snack or dinner, the options are vast for this savory treat.

Honey can help as a cough suppressant.

Nurse Barb Dehn, spokesperson for the National Honey Board, spoke with me about how honey has been used for centuries to help sooth coughs. Just a small dose of honey given before bed can provide a great improvement of the nighttime cough.

Honey can boost your energy.

Consuming honey before exercising can help muscles stay nourished longer and can delay fatigue.  So, grab a bottle of water and add some honey along with it.  It can help refuel and delay onset muscle soreness.

Honey can be a beauty moisturizer.

Honey attracts and holds moisture which can help skin keep hydrated and glowing.  Adding a small amount of honey to your lotion, moisturizer, soap or shampoo can help retain even more of the moisture.  I was able to make my own salt body scrub which helped my skin feel soft and smooth.  Check out some recipes for your own DIY skin care.

Hooker Bath is a company that makes fabulous and fun soaps. Their motto is “Rinse, Be Naughty, Repeat.” And when put that way, how could I resist?

I had the pleasure of receiving the Hooker Bath Soap in Fresh Milk + Shea Butter and the 3-piece gift box in Wildflower.  Now, I’m usually a liquid soap type gal, but after using the Fresh Milk + Shea Butter on my entire body, I can now say I’ve converted to this sculpted soap in a box. My skin felt silky smooth, the smell was wonderful, with the benefits an added bonus.

Firstly, shea butter helps moisturize without clogging pores. It’s gentle on sensitive skin (which I qualify heavily on), and it helps fight acne, eczema, dermatitis, psoriasis and can even reduce scarring.  It also contains vitamins helpful in the reconstruction of skin cell damage and are antioxidants that keep skin safe from harmful radicals.
I’m currently living my first winter in Colorado. Coming from Texas, my skin has not adapted well to the dry and cold temperatures. My hands have been suffering from dryness, small cuts forming around my knuckles. My skin has become itchy from the lack of hydration, so it was a blessing and a relief to find a moisturizing soap.
The 3-piece gift box is perfect, as I now have been using the soaps for my hands and have placed a bar in every location that I use to wash up. My hands are slowly healing from the harsh winter, and they feel soft, smooth and smell damn good.
So, I rinsed, I was naughty (I won’t tell you how so), and I have definitely repeated.
